Happy Day - Tim Hughes
I Am Free - Ross Parsley
Your Love Is Strong - Jon Foreman
I Will Rise - Chris Tomlin
I heard quote recently that caught my attention: “The enemy of great isn’t bad. The enemy of great is good.” Intrigued? I am.
I think I settle for good too often, but it can be a hard concept to grasp. How do I know when to deny something good to wait for something great? How do I know what good things I should get rid of to make room for great things? Is it ever possible for me to know? Is it something I really need to know? I consistently pray that Christ would align my will with His and that he would allow me to enjoy his greatness, but too often selfishness, greed, and an eagerness to grasp good things get in the way.

So this blog has gone through some intense upgrades over the past week or two, but now everything is ready to go and I like it. New version of Wordpress. New layout & theme. And twitter updates on the front page.
Now it’s back to brainstorming features for the next round of updates. Ideas welcome!
There’s something about the word Wilderness that brings with it a sense of adventure. It makes me think of Aragorn, or Chuck Norris, or Indiana Jones. The feeling of danger lurking around every corner, with no way of knowing what will happen next.
I have recently returned from the wilderness, the Southern Nantahala Wilderness to be exact, where my brother, dad, and I spent the weekend backpacking on the AT. I haven’t been backpacking since freshman year, so it was really good to get back to the mountains for a little bit and enjoy, and stand in awe of, this part of creation.
I saw something today that I greatly respect, and an example that I hope I can follow. I recently heard about musician and worship leader Casey Darnell. What I just recently discovered, however, is that his music is licensed under Creative Commons, meaning that he is giving permission for people to freely use his music for non-commercial purposes as long as he is attributed for his work. That is really cool. While I like to think that most worship leaders feel that way about their music, the fact is that to be completely legal about it, you have to jump through some hoops and spend some money to use a lot of the songs out there.
Beautiful The Blood - Steve Fee
To Know Your Name - Hillsong. Programmed track created by Aaron Robertson
